Job description

Some of the responsibilities of the Operations Manager are

• responsible for professional management of all activities in all operations in Russia
• planning, support and management of the drilling and workover operations in all of clients operations in Russia to ensure that contract requirements are met
• responsible for safe and efficient operation of all rigs in all operations in Russia
• responsible for ensuring timely ordering of equipment, material and services and that rig stocks are kept at the required levels, ensures regular checks of rig inventory in all operations in Russia
• management and organization of the drilling and workover operations in all operations in Russia in a safe, professional and effective manner
• maintain good communication with rig supervisors including Client representative
• leading role in implementation of HSE / QA systems e.g. STOP, JSA, Risk assessment
• perform regular HSE inspections in all operations in Russia

Skills required

• Technical education – University level
• Comprehensive drilling/rig experience
• English language knowledge (speaking and writing)
• Russian language knowledge - intermediate
• Management - , Leadership - , Training skills
• Knowledge of modern information technology
• Practical work experience in Russian environment
• Regular medical examination as required for this position
• Well control course/certification (IWCF level)
• Attestation in safety regulations as per job requirements every 3 years
• Attestation in Safety rules in the oil and gas industry as Member of the attestation commission
• Attestation in Rules for design and safe operation of cranes as Member of the attestation commission
• Attestation in Rules for design and safe operation of pressure vessels as Member of the attestation commission
• Attestation in other Rules (boilers, manlift) as Member of the attestation commission as required for à specific operation / rig
• Any additional training, if required by company or contract with client
